The Nouveau
For the 2025 Atlanta Holiday Showhouse, Milieu 1928 partnered with Regas Interiors to design a lower-level living room and bar centered on gathering and elevated entertaining. The home balances modern luxury with subtle Art Nouveau touches.Throughout the room, Regas Interiors sought to strike the right balance between moody and inviting, with a goal to first wow the visitor, then make them want to stay awhile. Both Milieu and Regas Interiors played off the existing curves of the room, echoing them in everything from the game tables to the accessories. Hard surfaces of stone and wood were balanced with rich fabrics and carefully curated artwork.
The lower level was envisioned as an intimate retreat where recreational elements function as sculptural focal points rather than secondary features. Milieu designed both game table pieces to complement the room’s proportions, palette, and architectural rhythm. Kim Regas likes to say that the Regas Interiors design muse was James Bond. The Milieu game tables played perfectly into the sexy, sultry aesthetic inspired by 007.
